Day Trip

18th March Day 1

Arrive at Paro International Airport, afterwards drive to Thimphu(11/2 hour drive) and check in to your hotel, after which you can spend in the capital’s town area where you can check out the Memorial Chorten, Clock Tower, Handicrafts Market, or a picnic at Ludrong Garden, or eat at popular restaurants like folk heritage museum restaurant, Ama Restaurant and many more. Spend night in Thimphu.


19th March Day 2

After Breakfast, sightseeing in Thimphu valley, visit the National Library and Archives of Bhutan then in close proximity visit Dechenphu Lhakhang built in the 12th century and renovated in 1996, then visit the Royal Textile Museum.


visit the Buddha Point (KuenselPhodrang). Located a short drive away from Thimphu city centre, visitors can get a panoramic view of the Thimphu valley from here. You can offer prayers to the Buddha, the largest in the country. A walk in and around the premises taking in the scenic beauty of the surroundings is a popular activity even among the locals. Later, visit the Tashichhodzong, one of the most important Dzongs in the country. This impressive fortress houses the Throne Room of His Majesty, the King and various government offices. It is also the summer residence of the Je Khenpo, the Chief Abbot and the central monk body. Spend night Thimphu


20th March Day 3

After Breakfast at the Hotel, go to Paro. Visit the Ta Dzong and nearby sites like the Drugyel Dzong ancient ruin

After Lunch Hike Taktsang Monastery (5 hour walk back and forth): It is one of the most famous monasteries, perched on the side of a cliff 900 m above the Paro valley floor. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived on the back of a tigress and meditated here and hence it is called ‘Tiger’s Nest’. This site is recognized as one of the most sacred places in Bhutan. It was also visited by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1646 Spend Night in Paro


21st March Day 4 

After Breakfast, partake in the Paro Tshechu in Rinpung Dzong. After Lunch, stroll Paro town. Eat in restaurants of your choice like Mountain Cafe – Paro, My kind of Place, The Parop Kitchen In the evening visit the oldest temple in the country. The Kyichu Lhakhang.  Spend night Paro.


22nd March Day 5

After Breakfast if time permits visit Paro town for some mementos, Souvenirs and lunch. Afterwards head to Paro International Airport to depart our country with beautiful memories.
